How Financial Services Can Boost Their Response Rates and Build Long-Lasting Customer Relationships

Dear Financial Marketer:

Thank you for your interest in my copywriting services.

Now, you’re (probably) visiting this website out of curiosity. Most marketing managers and entrepreneurs do.

Or maybe you’re interested in hiring a freelance copywriter. A direct-response specialist with exceptional writing skills and sales ability.

Regardless of your reason for being here, you’ll want to learn more about a copywriter before hiring them. And if we were conversing in person, you’d likely ask me a few questions.

Allow me to answer some of those questions for you here.

“What are Your Qualifications as a Copywriter?”

I’m a professional copywriter verified by the American Writers and Artists Institute, meaning I have grasped the concepts of writing sales-generating copy, like…

  • The established guidelines for creating compelling headlines, leads, sales letters, emails, and more.
  • How to grab attention, connect with prospects, and drive action. Whether it’s to order a product, ask for more information, or donate to a charity.
  • How masterful copywriting can make a massive difference in achieving marketing success.

I’ve also earned specializations in a variety of marketing areas, including:

  • Digital marketing from the University of Illinois
  • International Marketing from Yonsei University
  • Social media marketing and content strategy from Northwestern University
  • Search engine optimization from the University of California (Davis)
  • Media and Public relations from the University of Colorado (Boulder)
  • Marketing mix implementation from the IE Business School

Since 2013, I’ve published over 1,000 articles, thoughts, and other insightful pieces about copywriting, marketing, and business practices. I’m the author of my personal blog, www.juanisraelortiz.com. And I’m the content manager of my company’s site, www.brandanddeal.com.

Before becoming a freelancer, I spent over 15 years in various sales and marketing roles. I worked for companies like SEARS Holdings, Trans-Oceanic Life Insurance, WCGB 1060 Radio, and others.

“Do You Have a Technical Background?”

On June 30th, 2023, I earned my Financial Awareness and Literacy specialization from McMaster University. In this specialization, I developed financial awareness and literacy around core concepts like wealth, value, markets, and debt.

I also explored the impact financial decisions have on our lives and the world.

The course guided me through the often confusing, fast-paced nature of finance using case studies, financial tools, blogs, and multimedia. At the end of the Specialization, I developed a portfolio that highlights my new knowledge and skills.

Over the years, I’ve also completed individual courses in topics like:

  • Advertising (Duke University)
  • Psychology (Yale)
  • Public speaking (University of London)
  • Corporate Strategy (University of London & UCL School of Management)
  • User Experience Design (Georgia Institute of Technology)

And I’ve been an active investor since 2013, following the stock market and other investment opportunities. Including precious metals, commodities, cryptocurrency, options and futures, and other securities.

But most importantly, I am a direct-response copy specialist. Writing direct-response copy is not just a hobby for me. It’s my main source of income.

So, I put all my skills and knowledge into creating every piece of direct-response copy. I know how to sell to direct-response buyers and strive to create compelling content that resonates with them.

“Do You Have Experience in My Field?”

If you sell financial products or services through direct response, I likely have experience with offers like yours. So, please take a moment to review the samples page featuring my best work.

Do they align with your needs? If not, please check out my entire portfolio to find samples that better match your interests.

“What Kinds of Direct Response Copywriting Assignments Do You Handle?”

As a direct-response copywriter, I cover a broad spectrum of marketing campaigns. I can write for:

  • Print advertising: space ads, advertorials, and other advertising materials.
  • Direct mail: lead-generation and mail-order packages
  • Digital marketing: email and pay-per-click campaigns.
  • SEO/web content: – Direct Response and UX web pages, landing pages, and microsites.
  • Public relations: press releases, case studies, and white papers.
  • Social media: social media ad campaigns, blog posts, and short online videos.

My talent lies in crafting compelling and authentic copy. I effectively communicate the benefits of a diverse range of products and services.

Regardless of the offer’s complexity.

I have a talent for quickly comprehending intricate marketing issues and comprehending complex technologies. My clients appreciate my ability to converse with the direct-response buyer, asking informed questions and speaking their language.

Moreover, my copy aims to get results.

I can’t predict how many responses my copy will pull for you. But I can (and will) guarantee it will represent your brand accordingly.

“Why Does Your Letterhead Say ‘Direct Response Copywriter and Marketing Consultant’?”

I specialize in crafting compelling copy for my clients in the financial services field. But I also work with my clients as a dedicated consultant.

Together, we can meticulously strategize and execute marketing campaigns. Yielding a highly positive response from their target audience.

My approach involves offering on-point advice. Advice that is cost-effective and tailored to align with their unique goals and objectives.

My commitment to transparency and fairness sets me apart. I also choose not to impose monthly retainer fees, unless it favors the client to do so. Thus ensuring that my clients get exceptional value for their investment in our partnership.

“Your Services Page Lists a Price for a ‘Copy Critique,’ What’s That?”

A Copy Critique offers an impartial evaluation of a marketing campaign. Whether it’s an advertisement, email, webpage, or blog post.

You can ask for a critique on an existing piece or a draft in progress.

When you order a Copy Critique, you will get a comprehensive, written report that analyzes your copy in detail. The report will be at least two single-spaced pages and cover various aspects like copy, design, strategy, and offer.

I will highlight your copy’s strengths and weaknesses and suggest what needs to be changed and how. The report will also include directions for revisions and give guidance for rewriting.

Nevertheless, I will not write or rewrite the copy under this arrangement for you.

If you need a ‘second opinion’ on a piece of copy, a Copy Critique is the ideal solution. It’s beneficial if you need fresh ideas to revive an existing package that’s no longer effective.

It’s also a great way to experience my services. Because the cost is lower than having me write your copy from scratch.

“Speaking of Money, What Does It Cost to Hire You for a Project?”

Feel free to share your ideas with me for any copywriting assignment. This could be a direct mail package, an advertorial, a white paper, a podcast script, or a website.

I’ll send you a personalized quote based on your specific needs.

My Services Page breaks down typical prices across various project types. So you can bring your vision to life through compelling copywriting.

“How Long Will It Take You to Write My Copy?”

Ideally, I would like 2-3 weeks to work on your copy. This timeframe allows me to carefully review, polish, and revise the content until every word is perfect.

If you can’t afford to wait too long, please let me know the deadline date on the enclosed order form. If I take on the job, I guarantee you will get the copy on or before this date.

No matter the deadline, you can rely on me to deliver error-free work.

“What Happens If We Want You to Revise the Copy?”

Let me know what you want improved in the given text. I can make changes as you need.

I’ll make the necessary revisions quickly and without any extra charges.

The flat fee we agreed upon for the assignment includes revisions. You must ask for them within 30 days of receiving the copy.

Please note that these revisions should be based on the original assignment. They should not be based on any changes made after I send the copy.

If you are not 100% sure the copy appropriately stands for your brand upon receiving it, let me know. I will revise it at my expense.

And I will make the changes based on your specific guidelines.

“How Do I Order From You?”

Putting me to work for you is easy.

First, fill out the copywriting order form on my contact page. Then, please offer details about the product or service you are selling.

Let me know the target audience you are selling it to. And send me any relevant literature to help me gather the necessary information to write your copy.

You can use the enclosed order form as a guide. You don’t need to organize anything — I’ll handle that.

If I need any further clarification, I’ll give you a call and ask for it.

Once you give me the go-ahead, I will write the assignment for you. You will get it on or before the deadline.

And my copy is guaranteed to represent your brand accordingly.

So … why not try my service for your next online sales page or direct mail package? I can write your next featured article, press release, ad, e-mail, or video sales letter.

And I promise you’ll be delighted with the results.

Thank you for your time,
